MRS. DAMINO, 57, SUCCUMBS
Mrs. Helen Eakins Damino, 57, 219 29th St., died yesterday morning at 7 in Riverside hospital after a long illness.
Mrs. Damino had been a resident of this community for about 43 years. She was born Nov. 22, 1888, in Raleigh, N. C., the daughter of the late Samuel Eakins and Cecelia Lanza Eakins.
She is survived by three sons, Joseph A. Damino of Hampton, Anthony L. Damino of this city and W. Arthur Damino of this city; three daughters, Mrs. Marie Palombo of this city, Mrs. Helen Brady of San Francisco, Calif., and Mrs. Ceciala Babb of Suffolk; four brothers, Henry Eakins of Washington, D. C.; Bert Eakins of Spencer, N. C.; George Eakins of Newark, N. J., and Lewis Eakins of San Francisco, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Maria Rogers of Portsmouth and Miss Katie Eakins of Portsmouth; nine grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Rosary services will be held at 8 tonight in the Rouse-Carper funeral chapel.
Funeral services will be held at 3 tomorrow afternoon at the funeral chapel. In charge of the rites will be Rev. Fr. Preston A. Campbell of St. Vincents's Catholic church. Burial will be in Greenlawn cemetery. The body will remain at the funeral chapel until the funeral.
Active pallbearers will be A. J. Power, James Russo, C. H. Williams, P. Bevelaqua, Charelton Spivey, C. C. Butterton, D. Nicosia and Floyd Bennett. Other friends of the family will serve as honorary pallbearers.
