Jacob M. Mikl, Sr, who for many years conducted a meat stall in the Coatesville Market, died at his home in Highland Township, at 4:45 this morning in his 67th year. He had been confined to his bed for the last five weeks. Death was due to a heart condition.

Mr. Mikl was born in Budapest, Hungry, and came to this country more than forty years ago. For twenty years or more he had lived n Highland township about a mile and a half from Stottsville where he had a farm and where he conducted a butchering business. He was well known in Coatesville.

He was a long time member of Our Lady of Consolation Catholic Church of Parkesburg. Surviving him are his wife, Mrs. Frances Smith Mikl; two sons and five daughters, Charles Mikl, Mill Tillie Mikl, and Mrs. V.R. Silver of Bondsville; Jacob Mikl, Jr., of Phoenixville; Mrs. Mary Miller, of Downingtown; Mrs., Helen Conover, of Philadelphia, and Mrs. A. T. McCowan, of Coatesville. He also leaves six grand children and three great-grandchildren.

The funeral will take place from the Wilde Funeral Home in Parkesburg, on Monday morning at 9:15 with High Requiem Mass at Our Lady of Consolation church at 10 o'clock. Interment will be in Parkesburg Catholic Cemetery. Friends have been invited to call at the funeral home on Sunday evening.
