Elmer Milton Keyser was born on October 5, 1891 in Springfield, Illinois to William Henry and Sarah Ann Schubert Keyser. They were both from Pennsylvania and came to Springfield in 1866. William was in the Civil War and fought in the Gettysburg Campaign. In 1922 Elmer married Ruth William and they had two kids. After that he married Bessie Austin. They had no children. Elmer died on January 10, 1959 in Springfield, Illinois. He was buried in Osceola Grove Cemetery, next to his wife Bessie, on January 13.
