Richard Bass, 42, a native of Robeson County, died unexpectedly on Monday, July 24, in Calfornia.
Survivors are his wife, three sons, and two daughters; also two sisters, Mrs. Hubert Prevatte, Fairmont and Mrs. Wilbur Christenburg of Hamer, S.C.: and three brothers, Worth Bass, High Point, Jack Bass, Miami and Jimmy of Arkansas.
Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon in California for Richard Bass, 42, a native of Robeson County, North Carolina.
In Richard's parent's Bible they have written that Richard was born June 7, 1925 in Fairmont Township, North Carolina.
Richard's wife Mattie Marie(Strickland)Bass second married James "Jim" Lawson. Marie died Jan. 21, 2000 in Pickens, South Carolina.
