Mrs. J. F. Castle
Mrs. John F. Castle died at her home in Kilmichael on November 16th after a lingering illness. Funeral services were held at the Kilmichael Baptist Church on Tuesday afternoon with the Rev. Paul Brown of Memphis officiating. Interment was in Kilmichael cemetery under the direction of Oliver Funeral Home.
Mrs. Castle, the former Miss Laura Box, was born in Montgomery County on October 24, 1880. She was married in 1898 to John F. Castle who survives. Mrs. Castle was a member of the Serepta Primitive Baptist Church near Stewart.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Castle leaves two daughters, Mrs. Bob Brooks of Kilmichael and Miss Mable Castle, Jackson; six sons, Farris Castle of Lodi, Vardaman Castle and Harold Castle, both of Kilmichael, Albert Castle, Long Beach, Calif., Jim Castle, Louisville, Ky., and Esco Castle, San Jose, Calif.; three brothers, G. E. Box, Winona, John L. Box, Itta Bena, and W. A. Box, Santa Monica, Calif.; 21 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
