Roy Wendell Castle died Saturday, August 24th, of a heart attack in an infirmary at Mobile, Alabama, where he had been taken earlier suffering from pneumonia.

Funeral services were conducted at the Kilmichael Baptist Church on Monday afternoon at three o'clock with the Rev. Paul Brown of Kilmichael assisted by Rev. Johnny Castle of Jackson officiating. Interment was in Kilmichael Cemetery with Oliver Funeral Home of Winona, in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were Milton Brister, Durward McNeer, Harmon Flowers, Tom Bingham, Eugene Allen and Juanell Lollar.

Mr. Castle was born in Kilmichael on December 21, 1913, and married the former Miss Eunice Mooney in 1935. He was a member of the Marks First Baptist Church.

He leaves his wife, Mrs. Eunice M. Castle of Marks; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John F. Castle of Kilmichael; one daughter, Miss Patricia Ann Castle of Memphis; one son, Charles Wendell Castle of Marks; two sisters, Mrs. Arlene Brooks, Kilmichael, and Miss Mabel Castle, Jackson; six brothers, Jim Castle, Louisville, Ky., Albert Castle, Long Beach, Calif., Esco Castle, California, Harold Castle, New Jersey, Farris and Vardaman Castle, both of Kilmichael.
