Carl F Rader, 72, Mankato, died Wednesday morning at the Hilltop Hospital Unit. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Redeemer Lutheran Church Decoria, with the Rev. Milford Thompson officiating. Burial will be in the Decoria Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Johnson-Boman Mortuary from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday and at the church for one hour before services Saturday.
Mr. Rader was born July 19, 1898, in Decoria Township, where he had lived all his life. After farming for many years, he retired in 1962. A member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, he had served as a deacon for more than 20 years. He was a member of the Decoria Cemetery Board and of the Farm Bureau. Survivors include his wife, Clara; two sisters, Mrs. Lydia Oglesby of Mankato and Mrs. Silas (Florence) Getty of St Peter; three brothers, George of Mapleton, Oscar of Mankato and Walter of Pemberton; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers. Mankato Free Press; 1/14/1971.
