Dr. Ronald L. Haynes, DDS, 79, died unexpectedly on May 13, 2010 at his home in Fraziers Bottom, Charleston, WV. Dr. Haynes had recently retired after practicing dentistry nearly 50 years primarily in St. Albans, WV. Dr. Haynes graduated from Bramwell High School in 1948, West Virginia Institute of Technology, Pre-Dental Studies at the University of Richmond and the Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry. He was a member of the American Dental Association, West Virginia Dental Association, and the Kanawha Valley Dental Society. Dr. Haynes was a member of Christ Episcopal Church, Pt. Pleasant, WV, and a former member of St. Mark’s and All Saints Episcopal Church.He was a veteran having served in the Air Force from 1952-1954.

Dr. Haynes was the son of the late Elisha Keen Haynes (1886-1971) and Abbie Virginia Powell-Haynes (1888-1974) of Bramwell, WV. He was proceeded in death by his twin sister, Virginia Dare Haynes-Newberry (1931-Deceased) and older sister, Reba Lucille Haynes (1908-1997; and five brothers, Russell Kenneth Haynes (1906-1906), Guy Haynes (Deceased) Lewis Clay Haynes (1911-2007), Elisha Paul Haynes (1916-2006), and Dr. Ralph E. Haynes (Deceased).

Dr. Haynes is survived by his wife, Susan Frazier-Haynes of Fraziers Bottom; daughters, Kathryn H. Haynes-Sager of NC, and Camilla Haynes-Davis & husband Tyson Davis of OH; sons, Elisha K. Haynes & wife Rebecca Haynes of CA, and Ralph M. Haynes & wife Pamela Haynes of AL; sister, Marjorie Haynes-Rakestraw (1927-2012) of OH; brother, Ray Powell Haynes (1920-2010) & wife Marie Bird-Haynes of VA; fourteen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
