Sarah Nesbit married Alford Williams, son of Isham Williams, of Irish descent, and his wife Gwynay (Nation) Williams, of Welsh descent. The family of Isham Williams was one of the priominent pioneer families of Gwinnett County. Alford and Sarah had four children: Shady Ann Williams, John William Nesbit Williams, Doleska Williams, and Sarah Alpharetta Williams.

In 1847, Shady Ann married Daniel M. Byrd, son of William Davis and Rebecca (Strickland) Byrd, but died the next year after the couple had their one and only child, Shady Ann Byrd. The younger Shady Ann was then brought up by Alford and Sarah. She married James F. Wilson, and their children were A. Walter Wilson, Henry M. Wilson,and Eveline Lou Wilson.

John William Nesbit Williams married Louisa Rachel Ann Craig, daughter of Robert and Nancy (Adair) Craig. (Note: Louisa's older brother Pinckney M. Craig and older sister Rebecca J. Craig married two of Sarah Nesbit Williams' younger siblings, Parizade Nesbit and Alvin C. Nesbit, respectively.) John and Louisa had the following children: Donald Sylvester Williams, Kate Louise Williams, Lizzie Alpharetta Williams, John Craig Williams, Rolla Alfred Williams, and Robert Roland Williams.

Doleska Williams married Henry Holmes. The couple moved first to Troup County and then to Atlanta, and had at least two daughters, Emma and Anna.

Sarah Alpharetta Williams married Anderson Howell Spence, son of David Winchester Spence and Sophia C. Turner. Their children were David Winchester Spence, William Nesbit Spence, Dollie A. Spence, and Sarah F. Spence.
