Lewis V. Wells Dies In New Orleans
Forest Hill Baptist Minister Passes Away
Reverend Lewis V. Wells, 35, pastor of Forest Hill Baptist church, died at 4:15 a.m. Thurs day at the Turo Infirmary in New Orleans. La. after an Illness of a few weeks.
Reverend Wells had been pastor or the Forest Hill church lor tne past three years. He was a former pastor of Mt. Moriah church in Bogue Chitto.
He was born In Laurel. Reverend Wells graduated from Miss. College and attended the Bible Institute in New Orleans.
He is survived by his wife Mrs Frankie Leon Wells: three sons, Lewis V. Wells. Jr., Michael Leon Wells, and David Eugene Wells: Father and mother, Reverend and Mrs. A. P. Wells Forest Hill: seven brothers, Otho Wells. Onus Wells, Vardaman Wells, Glenn Wells all of Jackson: V. C. Wells. Shubuta; Lt. Herman Wells. U. S. A. F. in Alaska: and Reverend Zeno Wells. Moss Point;
Four sisters. Mrs. Hardin Pope, Jackson: Mrs. Ernest Albritton, Mobile. Ala.: Mrs. A. L. Gatewood, Bay Springs: and Mrs. Charles Weatherford, Baton Rouge.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete but services will be held at Forest Hill Baptist church and interment in Lakewood Memorial cemetery. Baldwin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
