Virginia Allison, 76
Greenburg, Pa -- Services will be held Tuesday for Virginia Allison, 76, of Shawnee Drive, who died Saturday Aug. 22, 1998, at home following a lengthy illness. She was born in Lawrenceville, W. Va., Feb. 12, 1922, a daughter of the late Robert and Vera White Allison. She moved from Chester to Florida in 1955 before moving to Greensburg in 1993. She was a homemaker. She graduated from Chester High School. She was a member of the Grace Baptist Church in Greensburg. She is survived by her husband, Robert Allison, whom she married April 20, 1946, a son, Roy Allison, of Greensburg; a daughter, Mrs. Ken (Kimberly) Gibbs of Pembroke Pines, Fla.; a brother, Cecil Allison of Akron, Ohio; and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters. The services will be held at 2 p.m. at the Arner Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Locust Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel from 7 to 9 tonight and from 12:30 p.m. until the services Tuesday.
