Maude Aten

Mrs. Maude Campbell Aten, 82, of Inverness, Fla., died Wednesday at 9:05 p.m at home following a brief illness. A former Chester resident, Mrs. Aten was born in 1902, in Hookstown, Pa., a daughter of Robert Allison and Vene White Allison. Prior to moving to Florida about two years ago, Mrs. Aten was a member of the Golden Agers in Chester. She attended the Presbyterian Church in Inverness. Her husband, Charles Campbell, died in 1974. She was later married to Kenneth Aten, who died in 1981. Survivors include a son, William Campbell of Davenport, Iowa; three daughters, Mrs. James (Ruth) Elliott of Inverness, and Mrs. Vern (Ada) Jones and Mrs. Mary Lyons, both of Chester; four brothers, Clair Allison of Hookstown, Dwight Allison of Akron, Wilbur Allison of Andover and Claude Allison of Lady Lake, Fla.; a sister, Mrs. Robert (Virginia) Allison of Lady Lake; nine grandchildren and 18 great - grandchildren. Services are pending at the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester.

Services are to be held Monday for Mrs. Maude Campbell Aten, 82, of Inverness, Fla., who died Wednesday at home following a brief illness. The rites are to be conducted 1 p.m. at the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester by the Rev. Dorcas Conrad of the First United Methodist Church.
