Hazel Nell Barker Goza, a retiree from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Louisiana with 20 years of service and a resident of Denham Springs, she passed away at 1:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 2, 2007, at her home in Denham Springs. She was 79.

Visiting at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, until religious service, conducted by the Rev. Louis Boyd. Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park.

She is survived by her husband, Edgar "Ed" Goza of Denham Springs; daughter, Linda Williams Daigle and husband Bruce of Denham Springs; sons, Jerry Lynn Goza of Denham Springs and Lawrence Duane and wife Cathy Goza of Zachary; sisters, Mattie "Matt" Drummond of Eupora, Miss., Earline and husband Bill Welch of Gallman, Miss., and Bettie and husband Leonard Culpepper of Baton Rouge; brothers, L.D. "Bill" and wife Anna Barker of Baton Rouge and L.V. and wife Dot Barker of Jackson, Miss.; eight grandchildren, Christy, Darren, Frank, Allan, Kori, Heather, Sarah and Dylan; five great-grandchildren and special friend, Earlene Roby.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifton E. and Lillie Marie Barker; and sons, Harold Dennis and Ronald Wayne Goza.

She was a member of Florida Boulevard Baptist Church in Baton Rouge. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Joseph's Hospice or a charity of your choice.
