Ruth H. Harrison (Rimelspach) left us to be with the Lord on December 26, 2014. She lived at Oak Leaf Village for the last 4 1/2 years after previously living on Wildwood Blvd. and Marlboro Ave in the South End of Toledo. She married Robert G. Harrison on December 29, 1943, enjoying a wonderful life together for 62 years.

Ruth was born to Filbert and Margaret (Tracey) Rimelspach in Fremont, Ohio on July 12, 1921. Ruth attended St. Ann's Grade School and graduated from St. Josephs High School, Fremont in 1939.

Ruth attended Mercy School of Nursing and graduated in 1943, a year later than the rest of her class due to back surgery. She was employed at Mercy Hospital for 25 years as a supervisor of Central Service. She was also an instructor of I.V. therapy, and assisted in the pharmacy department.

Ruth was preceded in death by Robert, her husband; parents, Filbert and Margaret Rimelspach; her sisters, Mary and Gertrude (Sr. Francis Assisi O.S.U.); brothers, Robert and Norbert Rimelspach.

Ruth is survived by her sister, Rita Koch; brother, William Rimelspach (Irene); son, Philip Harrison (Darlene); daughter, Mary Zawodny (James); grandchildren, Kelly Hertado, Angelina Bauman, James Zawodny, Eric Metzger; great-grandchildren, Madalyn and Mathew Metzger, Lukas, Noah and Adele Bauman, Dominick and Lexi Hertado, and Stella Zawodny.

Friends may visit at the Coyle Funeral Home, 1770 S. Reynolds Rd. on Tuesday, December 30th, from 4:00-8:00 p.m., with a Scripture Service at 7:00. The funeral will begin in the mortuary Wednesday, December 31st at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Catholic Mass at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 2255 Central Grove, where Ruth has been a member since 1943.
