Alene and Ersie were the parents of seven children. Evelyn Yvonne, Nellie Marie, Odis Edward, Larry Thomas, Randall Lee, Jerry Norman and Kathy Jean.
Alene love to crochet. She completed a large table cloth while riding around the country sightseeing.Flowers were another passion. You could always see her outside working in her flower beds.
The most important thing in her and Ersie's life was the love of God and her church. They gave the land to build the Mt. Zion Church of God. Many hours were spent worshiping together at the Mt. Zion Church.
The best memory I have is the morning after my dad's death (her brother) she came to our house (dad's house) with a big pan of hot biscuit & sausage. She was a great cook, full of love and compassion. A great Christian Lady. We loved her very much.
