Mrs. Hattie "Nannie" Cantley died at home on Tuesday evening, February 5, 2019, joining her beloved husband, Charles Boyd "B.B." Cantley, and her waiting loved ones.

Mrs. Cantley was born the daughter of Johnny Cox and Mettic Cox on January 20, 1922, in Williamsburg County. She was the first born of 8 siblings which included Ralph Cox, Lucile Player, Maggie Cribb, the twins – Lorenza Cox and Lola Bell Cox, Renelda “Shorty” Cox, Wayne Cox and Warren Cox. For over 75 years, she was a faithful member of the Bloomingvale Baptist Church serving as a Sunday School teacher, Chancel choir member, Women’s Auxiliary, and on a number committees including the Grounds Committee.

She leaves a legacy of "Strength for every day, Perseverance in every situation, and Love that is unconditional." Her life’s treasures were held in her arms as she cared her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren; and her riches were the family and friends on who’s life she leaves an eternal hand print.

Ms. Hattie and Mr. BB was married for over 50 years and their home was blessed with seven children: Flora (Laverne) Cantley, Charles Cantley, Elbert (Dorothy) Cantley, David (Janice) Cantley, Joe (Ann) Cantley, Linda (Larry) Howard, and Michael (Sandra) Cantley; 24 grandchildren; 46 great grandchildren; and 5 great great grandchildren. In addition to her family, she leaves behind one brother, Wayne (Harriett) Cox; 2 sisters-in-law, Patsy Cox and Louise Cox; and large number nephews and nieces.

She was predeceased by: her parents; her husband; two infant children; and seven siblings.
