Homer —Mrs. Francis Kirby died last Thursday of malarial fever at the home of her son-in-law, George Pridemore, northwest of here at the age of 79 years. Funeral services were held at the house at 2 p. m. Friday by Rev. W.H. Schwartz and the remains were interred in old Homer cemetery. Mrs. Kirby had but one arm. A number of years ago while dressing a chicken she ran a bone in her hand, from the effects of which she had to have her arm amputated.
