Isaac Kirby, Urbana Township Settler, is Dead At Homer

Homer, Ill., Nov. 3.—Isaac Kirby, an old resident of this place, died at 3:30 Tuesday afternoon following an illness from a complication of diseases incident to old age.
Mr. Kirby was born January 9, 1849, in Somers township, north of Urbana, and has been a resident of this part of the country his entire life. On March 9, 1871, he was marred to Mary Ellen Jordan of Urbana and to them were born 12 children, six dying in infancy. The surviving children are: Jessie, Mrs. Robert Tiffen and Charles of Homer, Reatus, Mrs. Jessie Tiffen of Urbana, and Mrs. Daisy Mathews of Kansas City, Mo. Besides his widow and children he is survived by three brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 2 o'clock from the residence with J. M. Current in charge of the services. Burial will be made at the G. A. R. cemetery.
