Almo, Idaho—Funeral services for Mrs. Alice Eames Ward, 51, will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday in the Latter-day Saints ward chapel here. Mrs. Ward was an active member of the L.D.S. church, serving as an officer in the Relief society for many years. She also was an officer in the Young Women's Mutual Improvement Association and was on the ward music committee. She was born May 5, 1890 at Almo, Idaho, a daughter of Robert James and Lucy Knight Eames. She was married to Asael Ward.

Surviving are the following sons and daughters: Mrs. Mike (Melba) Mortensen, Challis, Idaho; Mrs. Ralph (Reita) Spackman, North Ogden, Utah; George Alfred Ward, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Clyde (Ozzella) McFarland, Bountiful, Utah; Mrs. Glen (Beryl) Powers, Burley, Idaho; Buddy Doyle, serving in Korea, and Searl M. Ward, Almo. (She was predeceased by a son, Earl M. Ward in 1935.)

Surving brothers and sisters are Mrs. L. D. King and Mrs. Wesley McMullen, Raymond, Alberta, Canada; William H. Eames, Ogden; Mrs. Lucy Stout, Portland, Ore.; Mrs. Martin Harris, Harrisville, Utah; Mrs. Milton D. Shurtleff, Ogden, and Mrs. G. A. Blackburn, Porterville, Calif. Ogden Standard Examiner, May 11, 1952

(Son, Searl M. Ward, was charged with shooting his mother. He had fought in the war and suffered from post traumatic stress. He died at the age of 35 in a Texas veterans' hospital.)

THURSDAY, MARCH 6 1952, TIMES-NEWS, TWIN FALLS, IDAHO, page 11. Besides her husband and the accused son, Mrs. Ward is survived by two other sons. Alfred Ward, Salt Lake City, and Bud Ward, Korea, and four daughters, Mrs. Burl Powers, Burley; Mrs. Arzella Spackman and Mrs. Reta McFarland, both Ogden, The body will be returned to the Payne mortuary.

These two children are in addition to those linked below:
- Melba Mortenson Rogers (1911-1999)
- Searl Melvin Ward (1926-1961)
