She was born February 3, 1913 in Almo, Idaho, to Asael and Alice Eames Ward. She married Ralph William Spackman February 1, 1938 in the Salt Lake Temple; Ralph died March 15, 1981. She married Orren Pearse Labrum November 5, 1982, in the Jordan River Temple, Pearse died January 6, 1990; she then married Lewis Storey on August 3, 1997.
Reita graduated from Box Elder High School. She spent many years working in the retail business, retiring from JC Penneys and ZCMI.
She was an active member of the LDS Church, serving in various positions including Stake YW Presidency, varied YW positions, Visiting Teacher, and as an ordinance worker in the Jordan River Temple.
Reita enjoyed gardening, bowling, traveling and singing, but what she loved the most was being with her family. She was a volunteer worker at Cottonwood Hospital and at local elementary schools where she helped children learn to read.
Surviving are her husband Lewis Storey; two children Bob (Emily) Spackman, Tucson, AZ; Joan (Brent) Heap, Ogden, UT; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grand-children.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 27, 2006 at 11 a.m. at the North Ogden 13th Ward Chapel, 950 East 2850 North. Friends may call on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Myers Mortuary in Ogden, 845 Washington Blvd., and on Friday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the church.
