Raymond Eugene Strayer, 24 passed away suddenly May 4, 1943 during lunch-time at the Jones Auto Parts Yard in McCook.
When E. W. Jones the proprietor, returned he found Raymond slumped over his lunch pail. His death was due to a heart attack.
Surviving are his parents Ernest Austin & Mayme Strayer, three brothers Cpl Clarence Strayer of Tonopah, Nevada, Archie & Harold of Hastings and three sisters Mrs. Lila Herbert and Shirley of McCook and Phyllis of Hanna, Wyoming.
Raymond was the grandson of Cyrus "Henry" & Margaret Ellen (Niceschwander) Strayer, great grandson of Miley & Elmira, great great grandson of Martin & Rachel (Ralya) Strayer.
