Mayme Frances Strayer, 70, long time resident of McCook, died Sunday afternoon at the home of her son Clarence. Her husband Ernest died in 1948 and son Eugenepassed away in 1943.
She is survived by three sons, Clarence and Archie both of McCook, and Harold of Greeley, Colorado; three daughters, Mrs. Lila Herbert of Seattle, Washington, Mrs. Phyllis Thomas of San Luis Obispo, California, and Mrs. Shirley Cry of Salina, California; one brother Charles Davis of Alma; three sisters, Mrs. Nellie Henderson of East Moline, Illinois, Mrs. Addie Calkins of Alma, and Mrs. Sadie Longsine of Lexington.
Services will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Memorial Methodist Church with Rev. Adrian Edgar officiating. Interment will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery with the Breland Funeral Chapel in charge.
