Doyle D. Abbott, 65, of Kansas and formerly of Jewett, IL passed away at 7:20 am on May 19th 2017 at his residence.

Doyle was born in Coles County Illinois on July 20, 1951 the son of Jesse James & Veta (Maxedon) Abbott. He married Jacqueline Rennier on November 12, 2013.

Surviving is his wife; Three Sons Matthew (Kendra) Abbott and James (Jessica) Abbott both of Toledo and David Abbott of Jewett; Step children Derek (Andi) Kocher of Japan, Wesley Kocher of Kansas, Aaron Kocher of Marshall and Beverly (Brian) Knaupp; 11 grandchildren and 4 step grandchildren; Brothers Paul (Lisa) Abbott of Neoga, James “Rusty” Abbott of Mattoon; Sisters Lois Pugh of Mattoon, Norma Sheets and Leta (Kenny) Davis both of Sullivan.

Doyle was preceded in death by his parents; sons Michael, Daniel and Adam Abbott; Sisters Beatrice Winchester, Marge Moran and O. Bernice Moran; Brothers Van, Noble “Gene”, Jesse Jr., Glen, Ted, Ivan and Donald Abbott. Doyle was working at Sherwin-Williams in Effingham.

Doyle had also worked at Trailmobile for many years. He loved the outdoors and camping.
