Services for Harry F. Steele, 85, formerly of 6178 Dialton rd., will be held in the New Carlisle Missionary Church at 1 p.m. Tuesday, conducted by the Rev. William Hossler and the Rev. Jesse Secker.
Mr. Steele died in the Ohio Missionary Home at 7:20 p.m. Friday following five years of failing health.
Mr. Steele retired from farming in 1957. He was an active layman in the United Missionary Church, attending services in New Carlisle, Trinity in Springfield and Newson Church at Dialton. He represented those churches at state and national conferences.
Survivors include his wife, Ada; two daughters, Mrs. William (Alma) Gracy of New Carlisle and Mrs. Joseph (Thelma) Streber of Springfield; six sons, Howard, Arthur, Harold, Harley and Wilbert, all of New Carlisle, and J. A. of Sidney, O.; 22 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call in the Trostel-Chapman Funeral Home, New Carlisle, from 4 to 9 p.m. Monday. Burial will be in New Carlisle Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Missionary Church Memorial Fund or to the Heart Fund.
