STAUNTON - Lucille Christine Slagle, 85, formerly of Greenfield, died early Wednesday morning (Feb. 1, 2006) at King's Daughters' Nursing and Rehab Center in Staunton. She was born Feb. 14, 1920, in Nelson County, the daughter of the late Everett B. and Minnie P. (Carter) Truslow. She was former member of Fellowship Pentecostal Church of Greenfield and was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Thomas T. Bragg; her second husband, Aubrey V. Slagle; a son, Everett McCoy Bragg; three brothers, Dennett, John and Cloudie Truslow; and three sisters, Dolly Mohler, Pearl Ferguson and Lola Bryant. Survivors include three sons, the Rev. Melvin Bragg of Waynesboro, Harold Bragg of Lyndhurst, and James Bragg of Norfolk; a daughter, Pauline Wilt of Waynesboro; two brothers, Hampton and Jessie Truslow; a sister, Barbara Stevens, all of Greenfield; as well as a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. A service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Sunday (Feb. 5, 2006) at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Funeral Service with the Rev. Stanley Price officiating. Burial will follow in the Fellowship Pentecostal Church cemetery, Greenfield, (Nelson County), VA. Active pallbearers will be Sam Halloway, Timothy Burks, Shelton Bragg, Rick Gregory, David Miller Jr. and Frances Chambliss. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandsons. The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Saturday (Feb. 4, 2006) at the funeral home. The Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Funeral Service is serving the family.

Gravesite Details
Lucille is buried in an unmarked grave near the back of the cemetery to the left of the church. The funeral home marker was buried when additional dirt was added to the grave site.
