Born October 23, 1930 in Nelson County, he was the son of the late Everette B. (Beauregard) and Minnie Pearl (Carter) Truslow. On April 11, 1953 he married the love of his life, Peggy Ann (Anderson) Truslow. The two shared a blessed union of 60 years together.
Mr. Truslow had previously worked for Stanley Furniture, Expert Electric and most recently Wintergreen. His two joys in life were hunting and fishing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Jayne Louise Roberts; one infant son and one infant daughter (Teresa Gay); grandson, Jessie Randall Truslow, Jr.; as well as nine siblings.
In addition to his wife, survivors include his children, Pamela Ann Patrick and husband, Roger, Jessie Randall Truslow and companion, April Clark and Rodney Neal Truslow and wife, Kay; seven grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; sister, Barbara Shea and husband, Robert.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, April 10, 2014 at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes with Pastor Louie V. Andrews, III officiating. Burial will follow in Rockfish Presbyterian Church Cemtery.
Active pallbearers will be his grandsons.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at the funeral home.
