Lexington, Okla. - Mary Frances Scott, formerly of Lyndhurst, Va., died Tuesday (March 14, 1989) in Purcell Municipal Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Jerry Scott, in 1984 and her granddaughter Frances Darlene Ramsey in 1980. She was born March 1, 1917 in Nelson Co., Va., a daughter of Everett B. and Minnie Carter Truslow. She attended school in Nelson Co.. Since August 1988 had lived with her daughters, Mary Marie Scott and Violet Thomas, in Lexington. Additional survivors include two daughters, Gearldine York of Detroit, Mich., and Shirley A. Ward of Staunton, Va., one son Jerry Lynn Scott of Montvale, Va.; four brothers Hampton Truslow of Faber, Va., Dennett Truslow of Ruckersville, Va., and Cloudy Truslow of Richmond; and four sisters, Barbara Shea and Dollie Mohler, both of Afton, Lucille Slagle of Waynesboro, Va., and Lola Bryant of Faber, Va. A service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Waynesboro chapel of Etter Funeral Home by the Rev. Mitchell V. Scott. Burial will be in Hebron Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 tonight at the funeral home.
