Edith M. Breland, 85 of Dumas, passed away on Thursday, August 4, 2016. Graveside Services are scheduled for 3 o'clock in the afternoon on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at Northlawn Memorial Gardens with Rev. Jerry Howe, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors.

Edith was born on February 18, 1931 in Felds Place near Yantis, Tx to Henry Mack and Rosa (Hyde) Bevill. She was united in marriage to James Breland on October 27, 1951 in Clovis NM. Being a farmer's wife, she loved to sew and tend the garden. She was very involved in the First Baptist Church where she would always help with funeral dinners. Edith was faithful in attending Sunday school. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Edith was preceded in death by her husband James Breland in 2005; 6 brothers and 2 sisters; and great granddaughter Lili Breland.

Edith is survived by her sons: Gregg Breland and wife Debbie and Paul Breland all of Dumas; sisters: Helen Ayres of Lubbock, TX, Sally Hendricks of Houston, TX, Jo Seymour of Slaton, TX; grandchildren: Breanna Bass and husband Joe, Zach Breland and wife Ashlee, Trent Breland, Dustin Breland, Jacob Breland; great-grandchildren Carson Bass, Adi Farni, Zander and Zeplin Breland.

The family suggests memorials be made to BSA Hospice of the Southwest, 6600 Killgore Dr. #110, Amarillo, TX 79106 or Alzheimer's Association, 5410 Bell St. #411, Amarillo, TX 79101.
