PLAINVIEW — The Rev. Q.D. Bevill, 78, of Plainview died Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013.

Services will be at 11 a.m. today in First Baptist Church Family Life Chapel with the Rev. Gary Gumfory and Dr. Tim Marrow officiating. Burial will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements are by Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview.

Q.D. was born March 13, 1935, in Brashear to Henry and Rosa Bevill. He married Delores LaFrance on April 1, 1972, in Gruver. Mr. Bevill served in the Army and pastored churches in McLean and Plainview.

Survivors include his wife, Delores Bevill of Plainview; four daughters, Denise Vaughn and husband Chuck of Amarillo, Davida Mays and husband Richard of Roswell, N.M., Debbie Breland and husband Gregg of Dumas and Cynthia Dowdey and husband Michael of Dallas; a son, Sam Pierson and wife Brenda of Spearman; four sisters, Helen Ayers of Lubbock, Edith Breland of Amarillo, Jo Seymour of Lubbock and Sally Hendricks of Houston; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to Thomas E. Creek VA Medical Center, 6010 W. Amarillo Blvd., Amarillo, TX 79106; or Medical Center League House, 7000 W. Amarillo Blvd., Amarillo, TX 79106.
