Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in First Baptist Church in Gruver with the Rev. Scott Curry officiating. Burial will be in Gruver Cemetery by Henson-Novak Funeral Directors of Guymon, Okla.
Mr. Bevill was born March 20, 1929, on the family farm near Sweetwater to Rosa (Hyde) and Henry Mack Bevill. He graduated from Miller Grove High School in 1947, and then attended East Texas University. He was united in marriage to Patsy Gean Monk on Dec. 23, 1950, in Clovis, N.M. The Bevill family moved to Gruver in 1968 and Mack farmed.
Mack was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Gruver where he led singing, taught Sunday school and served as a deacon. He was a 32nd degree Mason.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, J.L. Bevill, Clovis Bevill and Wayne Bevill; and two sisters, Martha Caston and Julia Anne Bevill.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Patsy Bevill; children, Debby Mayhew and husband Roy and Steve Bevill and wife Tracy, all of Gruver; four grandchildren, Josh Mayhew, Annie Gilbert, Brooke McMurry and Hunter Bevill; five sisters, Pearlie Garrett, Helen Ayres, Edith Breland, Sally Hendrick and Jo Seymour; two brothers, Q.D. Bevill and Carl Bevill; a brother-in-law, Leon Monk; and two great-grandchildren, Cort Mayhew and Calvin Gilbert.
Visitation and viewing will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today in First Baptist Church in Gruver.
The family suggests memorials be to Hansford Manor, 707 Roland St., Spearman, TX 79081.
