Clovis joined the Army on Jan 18, 1949 and served in Korea with Co. A, 9th Inf Reg, 2d Inf Div where he was wounded on Aug 14, 1950. He retired April 18, 1951, with Permanent Disability.
Clovis graduated from Kilgore Junior College in 1955 and remained to teach watch repair until after his marriage to Nancy Armistead in 1957. They moved to Abilene where they opened Bevill's Jewelry and Watch Repair.
Clovis died June 24, 1994 in VA Medical Center, Houston, TX and was buried Jun 28, in Elmwood Memorial Park with Military and Masonic services.
Clovis was Past Master of Abilene Lodge No. 559, AF&AM.
