Milton Randolph Adams, 88 of Laurel, MS .passed away peacefully Monday, January 23, 2017 at his home in the Sharon Community around 3:30 a.m. He was born on July 16, 1928 at his home in Sharon. He was married to Bonnie Hutson Adams on January 1, 1952 until her death on November 27, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents Dillard and Nettie Adams, three brothers, Robert Adams, J.W. Adams, and Theodore Adams, five sisters, Essie Johnson, Inez Ulmer, Eola Hill, Mildred Merritt, and Emma Herrington. A daughter, Cindy Shoemake, two grandsons, Bo Shoemake, Brandon Shoemake, and one granddaughter Jade McLauchlin.


Randolph was a faithful lifetime member at First Baptist Church of Sharon, where he served on many committees over the years. He was the Boy Scout Master for Troop 44 of Sharon for many years. He served in the Korean War as a Marine and followed up as a Merchant Marine.


He is survived by three children; Randy (Donna) Adams, Ricky (Delene) Adams, and Suzy Adams, and one son-in-law Bobby Shoemake, four grandchildren; Richard Adams (Danielle), Bryan (Heather) Adams, Summer Adams, Krissanna Shoemake, six great grandchildren, Isabella, Carter, Allie, Heighlie, Bently, Brancynn, and one sister-in-law Annie Dell Adams, close friends Paula Cook, Alfonzo Lopez, Bilbo Arnold, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Pallbearers will be Randy Adams, Ricky Adams, Richard Adams, Bryan Adams, David Adams, Buddy Ackerman, Honorary pallbearers; Johnny Brewer, Barry Ulmer, Howard Sims, Mike Myers, Albert Short, Cecil Miller, Ronnie McAlpin, Jason Rawls, Larry Welborn, Joey Ulmer, Don Stewart, Brody Myrick, Roland Gatlin, Lewis Long, Tommy Myers, Jeff Davis, Tarrell Yarbrough, Jessie Blackwell, Ray Chandler, and Thomas Pitts. Services will be held at First Baptist Church of Sharon at 11:00 am Saturday January 28, 2017 with burial to follow in Sharon cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 till 8 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church of Sharon.


In lieu of flowers family ask donations be made to First Baptist Church of Sharon Building Fund.
