Mary Ann Abbeehl was born the 28th day of September 1851, in Tonder, Brunner, Switzerland. she become a Christian early in life and lived a Christian life until death.
On the 15th day of December, 1870, she was united in marriage to Abraham Dowty. To this union was born eight sons, her husband and three sons, Franklin, Harvey, and Ely, having preceded her in death.
She leaves to mourn her loss, five sons; John of Oklahoma; Charley, of Wisconsin; William, Henry, and Albert of Claremont; eighteen grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
On Feb 4, 1902, she was untied in marriage to Frank Nuding, who departed this life December 29, 1921.
She had been in ill health for several years. Gradually her vitality was sapped from her frail body, until she was called to her peaceful reward January 13, 1934, at the age of 82 years, 3 months and 16 days.
She was patient through her suffering and never lost her hope in God and her faith in him.
Funeral services were held at the Dutch Flat Church with Rev. Gillaspie in charge.

A Precious one from us has gone,
A voice wer've heard is still;
A Place in vacant in our home.
Which never can be filled.
God in His wisdom has recalled.
The boon His love has given.
Although her body lingers here,
Her soul is safe in Heaven.

MARY NUBING OF CLAREMONT DIES
Claremont, Jan 16 --- Mary Ann Nuding, 82
passed away Saturday night at 10 o'clock at
the home of her son Henry Dowty, south of
Claremont.
She is survived by five children.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon
at 2 o'clock at the Dutch Flat Church with
interment in the nearby cemetery.
