William C Dowty, son of Abraham and Mary A Dowty was born Dec 1,1878 and departed this life May 12, 1934, at the age of 55 years 5 months and 10 days.
He was united in marriage to Bertha Perry August 11, 1900. To this union were born four children: Mrs Flossie Brown, of Sumner, Mrs Jona Brunson of Vincennes; Mrs Ester Smith , of Tolqua and Wilbert of Claremont. His wife, father and mother and three brothers preceded him in death. He leaves to mourn their lose four children, four grandchildren and four brothers.
On July 18, 1927 he was united in marriage to Mrs Myrtle Perkins, of Sumer.
Loving hands did all their power to relieve him in his suffering but all in vain. Funeral services were held at the M.E. Church in Sumner with Rev Winegar in charge.
A Precious one from us has gone,
