Mary Ann Bell Horton, age 58, of Portland, Texas died February 16, 1978 in Taft, Texas. She was born in Loco, Oklahoma on July 19, 1919 to the late Jehu K. and Mary Alice Conaway Bell. Her family returned to Palestine,Texas when she was very young. She was survived by her husband, Robert Ross Horton; son, Don J. Horton of Pearland; daughters, Vickie Willis of Portland, and Bobbie Ann McAdams of Detroit, Michigan; brother, Marshall Bell of Malakoff; and sisters, Katie Hefley Bacon, Lula Zoeller, and Florence Eilenberger, all of Palestine. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Steve Hunter Bell, and Leo Bell; and sister, Lottie Mae DuPree.
