Daughter of Anton Anton and Maria Walser (Watzer).

February 4, 1842 - Married Michael Baker, son of Michel Becker and Maria Schwartz.

October 10, 1882 - Married Charles Frederick Kuhn, son of Johann Frederick Kuhn and Charlotte Blum. Charles' first wife was Johanna Fredericka Hubner.

Mrs. Amelia King married J.P. Baker in October 1930 in Meeker, Colorado. Peter died March 16, 1944 in Meeker, Colorado.

Died at her late home, Sunday morning, June 9th, Mrs. Margaret Baker Kuhn, at the age 78 years. She was the mother of twelve children, five of them having died before her. The children living to mourn her loss are: Nick and John Baker and Mrs. Kate Fagen of Harper, Mrs. Wehr of Sigourney, Mike Baker of Delta, Iowa, Mrs. Mary Merten of Kansas and Peter Baker of Colorado. Funeral services were held at St. Elizabeh Church, Harper. on June 11. The remains were laid to rest in the Baden Cemetery.

Wm. Butler married Lena Baker, daughter of Michael Baker and Margaret Anton on January 27, 1863.

(There is a Jane Butler buried in Baden Cemetery, wife of W., age 18, died Nov. 15, 1863. ?????? Pete Baker has written from Colorado to his sister, Mrs. Kate Fagen, confirming the murder of his son, Everett, but did not say much about it, save there was a fight and Everett's throat was cut by a razor. He lived only 20 minutes. His mother was in South Dakota when it happened.

The Bob Merten family, 6 of them, were at Nic Bakers for 3 weeks. They lived here in the old days and are from Great Bend, Kansas.

Ed Mertrn, wife and 2 children, of Great Bend , Kansas have been here with her parents, the J. W. A. Goeldners. Mrs. Merten's health is poor and they may spend the winter. He is the son of Robert Merten. He informed us, his uncle, Charles Merten is still living with one of his daughters in Denver, Colorado.

The Baker monument is one of the few remaining in Baden Cemetery. Although it says Baker Kuhn on the top of the monument, no mention is made of Charles Kuhn, only Michael and Margaret. He is not mentioned in her obituary.
