Mrs. Amelia King married J.P. Baker in October 1930 in Meeker, Colorado. Peter died March 16, 1944 in Meeker, Colorado.

As the story goes: Six Baker (Becker) brothers came to America, Two remained in Philadelphia and the other four settled in Keokuk Co., Iowa. They were: Peter, who married Elizabeth Rettler; Jacob, who married Mary Rettler,(sister to Elizabeth); Michael, who married Margaret Anton and Mathias "Matts", single, who is buried at St. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Clear Creek Twp. Michael Baker was called "Red" , he was the only one of the brothers that had red hair.

Michael and Margaret immigrated from Germany with six children. They traveled on the ship Mary Bradford, arriving in New York City on May 22, 1855, port of departure was LaHarve, France.
