Funeral services for Clifton Eugene Jolliff, 68, West Plains, were Sunday, March 6, 1988, in the Rose Chapel, Robertson-Drago Funeral Home, West Plains, with the Rev. Bill Bales officiating. Mr. Jolliff died Thursday, March 3, 1988 in Ozarks Medical Center. He was born Oct. 11, 1919, at Rover, the son of John George Washington and Lily Mae Moore Jolliff.
He received his education in the schools of Rover.
He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the United States Army. Mr. Jolliff was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Robert F. Mullins Post No. 1828, the Wayne T. Boles American Legion Post No. 23 and the Disabled American Veterans Post No. 98, all of West Plains.
He was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include nine children Larry Eugene Jolliff, state of Texas; Clifton Ray Jolliff, Dexter, MO; Fay Ann Jordan, Dexter, MO; Patricia May Smock, Rosiclare, IL; Rebecca Wood, S. Otselic, NY; Ronnie Jolliff, state of Texas; Jeffery Jolliff, Ft. Washington, MD; Jamie Jolliff, Dale City, VA; and Terrance Jolliff, Baltimore, MD; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one brother, Everett Jolliff, Market Heights, IL; two sisters, Clara Mustion, Southerland, OR; and Evelyn Bay, state of Washington; two stepchildren, Robert Reese and Robin Reese, both of West Plains, MO; and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, one child, four brothers, Cecil, Homer, Nat and Les Jolliff, and two sisters, Mabel Bale (s/b Bales) and Edith Mobley.
Burial was in Jolliff Cemetery under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home, West Plains, MO.
