Although Isaac could not read or write, those that knew him said he could count money. Cornelius dealt in real estate, by and selling and living in a few before they were resold.
On Saturday April 22, 1933, Isaac was attending a sale on North Market Street, and had just purchased a bed and the bed was being loaded by a person whom was attending the sale with him, when for what ever reason, Isaac steped into the street with trafic and was struck by a car. Isaac died that night from the injuries he recieved from being struck.
He was the father of the following children, Ann Sophia Eyler and husband Grayson, Leavie Elgia Whipp and husband Franklin Keefer, Jennie Wachter and husband Millard, Rueyann May "Ruie" and husband Granville, Eli Edward Rice and wife Ruth, Silas Pirson and wife Lillie, Grace Elizabeth Eaton and husband Samuel, Keefer Cornelius Rice and wife Blanche and Sadie Shankle and husband Dennis,isie Frances Hewitt and husband Alonzo William and predeceased by a son Franklin Elmer and a daughter, Rosa B. Rice and a unknown infant.
He was the brother of the following siblings, Joseph Oliver Rice and wife Martha Jane, George Wesley and wife Annice, Mary Alice Ramsburg Plunkert James Henry Rice, Charles Rufus Rice, Calvin Clay Rice and wife Alice Virginia, Ida Victoria Keeney and husband Solomon "Simon", Sarah Elizabeth Wilhide and husband Charles, Florence Estelle Staub and husband Lewis Milton and Iva "Ivy" Ann Marshall and husband John Henry.He was predeceased by a sister Clara and two Infants Amanda and Martin Rice.
