She was born 22 February 1906 in Columbus County, North Carolina. She was a
daughter of the late Calvin Walker and Caroline Viola Wilkins Walker. She was a
homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church and was very active until the
early 1980s in the Church. She lived in Thomasville since 1957 until 1993 when
she moved to Virginia. She was married 26 September 1923 to Olin Colquet Garrell
who preceded her in death on 23 February 1984. Surviving are one son, Rex
Garrell of Springfield, Virginia, 6 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
