Mrs Ruth Walker McNeill, 75, of 2330 Harrell Avenue died Friday at 8:45 PM in a hospital.
A native of Columbus County, North Carolina, she was a daughter of Joel C and Mrs Caroline Wilkins Walker and the wife of Jesse P McNeil.
She was a member of Extension Department of Trinity Baptist Church.
Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Mrs Loyce C Hess of Portersville, California; six sisters, Mrs Elmer Glosson of Burlington, North Carolina, Mrs JA Adams of Graham, North Carolina, Mrs Frank Murphy of Wilmington, North Carolina, Mrs OC Garrell of Thomasville, North Carolina, Mrs WH Hudson of Rockingham, North Carolina, and Mrs George Twiggs of Milledgeville, Georgia; two brothers, Rufus Walker of Lexington, North Carolina and JT Walker of Burlington, North Carolina; three grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held Monday at 2 PM in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive, by the Rev Robert Turner. Burial will be in Rosewood Memorial Park.
