Doshia Mae Walker McNeill Murphy

Mrs Dosia Mae Murphy of 213 Valley Drive died Thursday morning at Cornelia Nixon Davis Heath Care Center.
Born in Freeman, NC on September 6, 1899, she was the daughter of the late Joel Calvin and Caroline Viola Wilkins Walker.
Mrs Murphy was a member of the American Legion Post #10 Ladies Auxiliary and the VFW Club.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs D R (Lois) Cherry of Wilmington; one step-son, William Frank Murphy Jr, of Fairfax Station, Virginia; one stepdaughter, Mrs Virginia Murphy of Texas; one sister, Mrs Pearl Garrell of Thomasville, NC; one brother, Rufus Walker of High Point NC; seven grandchidren and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday afternoon at 1 pm at Andrews Mortuary Valley Chapel by the Rev Echie Lancaster. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends Friday evening 7 until 8 pm at Andrews Mortuary Valley Chapel.
