Ruby Fay Adrian Jarratt

Ruby Fay Adrian Jarratt was born at the family farm located south of Colorado City, Texas on January 22, 1923 to Matthew Lawrence and Tina Belle Adrian. She lived in Midland 56 years where she was a Christian wife to Irving Jarratt, mother to 4, grandmother to 15, and great-grandmother to 36 and great-great-grandmother to 6. During those years she contributed to her church and community, teaching Bible classes, preparing food for others, sewing and working her home businesses. She was talented at oil painting photos for their portrait studio in Anson, TX before the time of color film, and loved singing.

Her humming continued even after Alzheimer's had taken her words away, allowing her to keep the sweet, cheerful disposition she was known for her whole life. She peacefully went on to her reward on December 29, 2018.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Westside Church of Christ, 4410 West Illinois Avenue, Midland, TX 79703. Burial will be at the Roscoe, Texas cemetery at 3:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Arms of Hope Children's Home, 21300 State Hwy 16 North, Medina, TX 78055 or the charity of your choice.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Avalos-Sanchez & Thomas Funeral Home.
