Her only child that we know of was Eldridge Campbell, born 17 Jul 1845 in Claiborne County, Tennessee.

Her death is listed in the Whiteaker Family Bible - Deaths, but no location.

We have not yet identified who James Campbell was or what happened to him. Eldridge is with Melvina's father in 1850 in Fort Madison, Lee County, Iowa and later in 1860 in Knox County, Missouri. John Whiteaker was named guardian of the children's estate, and we know there was property in Claiborne County that he managed for Eldridge.
