Sally Ross was born to Joseph Harve Ross and Nancy Williams Ross in Bardstown, Nelson Co., KY. She married Jacob Newman on March 3, 1817 in Bardstown. They had two sons; Franklin N. and Milton N. Newman. Sally Ross Newman appears to have died a short time after her son Milton was born. Jacob went on to marry Rebecca Bradley April 10, 1826 and lived in Boston, Nelson Co., KY. It is not known if Jacob and Rebecca had any children. Jacob died August 28, 1849 in the same place he was born; Boston, Nelson County, KY.
