A.A. DeFRATES DIES AT HOSPITAL
Anderson A. DeFrates, 36, of 1028 Enterprise street, who had been suffering from a malignant disease, died at 8:30 p.m. yesterday at St. John's hospital of a wound which authorities said was self-inflicted.

The victim is survived by his mother, Mrs. Etta DeFrates; father, W.R. DeFrates; five brothers, Everett of Grafton; Earl, William L. and Lawrence, all of this city; and Melvin R. DeFrates of the U.S. marines; three sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Sammonds, Mrs. Marjorie Thean, both of Springfield; and Mrs. Dorothy Townsend of San Francisco.
