George Hurlburt was the thirteenth child and ninth son of Heman Hurlburt (1773-1853) and Hannah Mosher (1780-1857). George was a farmer. His wife, Ann, and he had at least one daughter, Georgeanna. George died of consumption (TB) on April 22, 1862, and his two-year-old daughter passed away shortly after he did on May 1.
