Mrs. Lucy Helen Shofner Skaggs, age 83 of Campbellsville, passed away on Saturday in Campbellsville at the Grandview Nursing and Rehab.

She was the daughter of the late John Wesley and Lillie Morning Shofner and the widow of Ernest Skaggs, Jr.

Survivors include eleven children: Joyce Skaggs Cole and husband Ken of Louisville, Mary Bright and husband Tony of Campbellsville, Evone Skaggs of Mt. Washington, Garry Skaggs and wife Diane of Raywick, David Skaggs and companion Pam of Campbellsville, Annette Bolin and husband Steve of Campbellsville, Robert Skaggs and wife Barbara of Campbellsville, John Wesley Skaggs of Bardstown, Tammy Morgan and husband Gary of Eubank, Jerrit Skaggs and wife Teresa of Campbellsville, and Julie Ann Yates and husband Robert of Lebanon.

23 Grandchildren and a host of great and great-great grandchildren and other family and friends.

She was also preceded in death by two sons: Ronald Lee Skaggs in 1963 and Lawrence DeWayne Skaggs in 2014, and two sisters: Nora Sprowles and Ruth Gumm and three brothers: Roscoe, Herman and John Shofner.

The funeral service for Mrs. Lucy Helen Shofner Skaggs, will be Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. at the L.R. Petty Funeral Home in Campbellsville with burial to follow in the Zion Cemetery.

Family requests visitation from 5-8 P.M. on Tuesday and after 7 AM Wednesday until time for service at L.R. Petty Funeral Home.
