* Photos to the upper right are of Cozy's Mother and Father. The photos were made in the very early 1960's, before thier deaths in 1964 and 1965.

Cozy's family moved to the McDowell County, N.C., vicinity around 1928. Before moving to NC, Cozy met and married William Haskel "Will" Bias/Nelson in 1918, in Carter County, Tennessee. Cozy, her husband and thier children born moved to McDowell County, N.C, also.

-Marriage-

Name: Will Bias (surname spelled different ways)
Spouse: Cozy Isaacs
Marriage Date: 20 Dec 1918
Marriage County: Carter
Marriage State: Tennessee

Cozy and "Will" Nelson had six children. The children were Florence, Carbet, Bessie, Elsie, Harold, and Arthur Lee Nelson. Cozy and "Will" also had many grandchilden and great grandchildren.

Cozy was my Aunt and she lived close to my Grandparents and to where I grew up. So, I will always remember going out to her house to play with cousins (her grandchildren) and having my first taste of iced tea at her house, as my Mother did not make iced tea then. Anyways, back then I think my Mother thought of coffee and tea both as being for adults and children should not be having it, so I thought that was some big doin's to get to drink tea. There was some woods right by her house and my cousins and myself used to have a good time making play houses in the woods.

Aunt Cozy always appeared to be a happy person to me..whether she was happy at the time or not..she seemed happy, as she laughed alot...that's the way I would like to remember my "Aunt Cozy."
