Sara Annar Isaacs

Sara Annar Isaacs was the fourth child born of ten children to Aaron Wesley Isaacs and Martha Alice Ashley Isaacs.

Dearest Annar, I am your niece and your youngest sister, Maggie, is my Mother. She is presently living, now almost 87 years old, as I write this. She is the only one of your brothers and sisters that are still living today.

I take notice to your birthday and notice that you were almost born on your Mother's birthday and that you died so young, with only being 14 years old.

I never got to see you, but I still knew you as, "Sweet Annar", as you were never forgotten by your family and I heard you spoken of so many times over the years. Your Mother, my Grandma "Ma", Martha "Mattie" Isaacs spoke of you so much and I do know, she and your family loved you very much.

When I was a little girl, I used to see your picture hanging up on the wall in an upstairs bedroom of your Mother and Daddy's home. Even with me being so young..I was already learning who you were.

Too, your sister, my Mother, says that your Mother had a dress of yours in her special trunk and it was so pretty.. she said she used to beg to wear it and "Ma" couldn't bare the thoughts of her doing so, as it was yours. You passed away about a year before Maggie was born.

You had two wonderful parents...as I know..I grew up living right next to where they last resided until thier passing.

So Annar, even though you were buried over there on top of that mountain, many miles away..."you were never forgotten and will always be remembered!"

-With Your Family's Love,
Your Niece

+Rest In Peace+

*In addition, as to regarding the name of Annar, according to 1910 Census Mitchell Co, N.C., Linville Township, Annar's first name was "Sara". Perhaps, with her dying so young and with being called "Annar" while living..the family forgot to mention that she had the first name of Sara, as I never knew until now.

*I would like to express my appreciation to Mary Ann for her assistance in providing photos of The Isaacs Cemetery, of the gravesite stone markers of "Annar" and of others laid to rest there with Annar, on Roan Mountain, Carter County, Tennessee.

Thank you, for letting me share my thoughts that have been placed within my heart by my relatives over the years, of my Little Sweet, Aunt Annar...Never Forgotten.
